What is insecurity?

1) Lack of confidence or assurance; self-doubt. [Dictionary.com]

2) Uncertainty or anxiety about oneself, lack of confidence. [Google]

3) A feeling of general unease or nervousness that may be triggered by perceiving of oneself to be vulnerable or inferior in some way, or a sense of vulnerability or instability which threatens one’s self-image or ego. [Wikipedia]

MJ’s Words: You may feel insecure because of the expectations and standards of the people or things around you, because of the expectations you put on yourself, or because of society. We put too many expectations on ourselves because of the opinions of others. Joyce Meyer once said ” My emotions were controlled by what was in front of me.” What is in front us isn’t the way we should decide who we want to be.

Scriptures: Philippians 4:13, Proverbs 3:26, Colossians 3:3

Word of advice: You were created the way you are for a reason. Don’t allow what others say about you or how they treat you determine who you are or what you want to be. Know your worth. Love yourself. Be YOU!
